Revenant (Lords of Deliverance, #6; Demonica, #11)

Revenant (Lords of Deliverance, #6; Demonica, #11)Revenant by Larissa Ione
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Nothing causes more family issues than lack of communication. So you can imagine how pissed off Revenant becomes after having his memories restored after five thousand years. Learning that his life had some major setbacks due to his memory being swiped not once but twice. Sibling rivalry can stem from many things; one thing may be that your twin brother was welcomed in Heaven receiving love and warmth while you were left in Hell to be raised in a cage and conditioned to obey rules at all costs. Or it could also be the fact that the reason you had your memories tampered with was because of your brother. Reaver and Revenant are twins separated by circumstance and trying to find a way to exist with all these new memories and emotions that came with their restored memories. Not to mention the threat gestating in Hell. With lines drawn will both brothers fight for Heaven or be forever separated by Hell?

“Something about you draws me. False Angels are always dark, but there’s a light in you that warms me”

“I haven’t been warm in a very long time, Blaspheme.”

His words were like a balm, a cares that both soothed her and aroused her.

Fitting in is not a strong suit for Blaspheme, can’t let people know too much about yourself especially when your hiding your very existence worrying about being killed just because your mom was an angel and your father was a fallen angel making you kinda unwanted… Her disguise is as crafty as it comes the False Angel identity was easy until her guise started to wear off, all she needs now is another sacrifice but seeing as she has dedicated her life to healing at Underworld General that is easier said than done.

Blaspheme and Revenant have so much in common both looking for a safe place to fall, to let their guard down and a chance to just be who they are. To choose how they will live their life.

This is another page turning book from Larissa Ione that has you craving more! I have no idea where the series will spinoff after this book. But until she releases another I have a need to start from the beginning and read them all. If you want all the pieces to the puzzle you have to read this book. So much info surfaced you have all these Aha moments… Much like Reaver’s book! Genius how this series weaves into itself and the outcome is awe inspiring~

Venus Signs: Discover Your Erotic Gifts and Secret Desires Through Astrology

Venus Signs: Discover Your Erotic Gifts and Secret Desires Through AstrologyVenus Signs: Discover Your Erotic Gifts and Secret Desires Through Astrology by Jessica Shepherd
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I was really lured in by the topic. I loved to purchase those small Horoscope rolled up scrolls when I lived In NJ.

I found the formatting for the E-copy I received to be really un-organized.
When I went to look up the year I was born to actually see where I was categorized and 1979 was not listed. I removed the book and re-uploaded it and nada~

I also thought the way to look up your date of birth was very hard to follow, I mean if I could have and if there was a 1979 to choose from I wasn't confident in even knowing which I would have been. All In all if I could have found all this out I think the asking price was $15.99 was Extremely steep.

Rough Justice (Sinner's Tribe Motorcycle Club, #1)

Rough Justice (Sinner's Tribe Motorcycle Club, #1)Rough Justice by Sarah Castille
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Raised into a one of the most notorious biker clubs in Montana Arianne Hunter(aka Vexy) still never tasted freedom. Being the daughter of Viper the president of the Black Jacks really held no sway in the club, if anything she was just a pawn to barter with. Her only goal is to leave Conundrum, Montana: leave the club, leave her father and leave a past she can’t even escape in her dreams. Her plan went to hell in a hand basket the night her brother decided stealing guns from a rival biker club would give him the patches and acceptance he desperately needed. It seems he wanted his father’s approval more than keeping the promises made to his sister.

Jagger Knight is beyond pissed off! The Sinner’s clubhouse is burnt to the ground; the new relationship he was building with Mexican Cartel was on rocky ground now that half his guns were stolen. What else could go wrong? Oh and one of the clubs longtime member Axle constantly undermines his authority. Jagger needs to get is house in order; first order of business is to question the Jack left behind at the fire. If it is war the Jacks want then game on.

Only problem is the Jack in question is really a woman. The evidence and the sheer fact she is at the scene of the crime doesn’t help Arianne’s case. Being held hostage until they review the cameras is no hardship especially when Jagger himself is over seeing her care.

All of Jagger’s control and dominance is put to the test when Vexy stands toe to toe with him at every turn. Never backing down, proving her worth and helping smooth over some sticky situations shows her understanding of club politics. Making her a diamond in the rough.

This book was one nail biting moment snowballing into another. I loved the constant comparisons between the two clubs….they showed the strong similarities and the even stronger differences! Jagger and Arianne have the most complex non-relationship I have ever read about …lol The chemistry they share makes their trysts steamy and raw. Jagger’s dominance and loss of control over his desire for Arianne was beautifully laid out in the most open and vulnerable way. Which was refreshing, he wasn’t me Tarzan you Jane. I could say it was the way his character was crafted but it was more than that. They were written for each other, I guess that’s the only way to really say it!? The give and take that was shown throughout the story was like a well-honed machine. Symbiotic. I loved the tragic past Ari isn’t defined by; no she rises up like a phoenix and owns her shit. Then best of all comes out more confident, strong and makes no excuses. If you enjoy Dominant alpha men and women wild enough to ride them then this is the book for you!

Braving Fate (The Mythean Arcana, #1)

Braving Fate (The Mythean Arcana, #1)Braving Fate by Linsey Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What if your fate was to die? To recognize your strength and ability, save lives yet perish afterward. Could you walk that path? How about twice…?

Diana Laughton has the reincarnated soul of Boudica the Celtic Queen of the Iceni and as soon as she reclaims her other life memories the second path fate has bestowed upon her will be clear. But until that happens she is just Diana the University Professor with a knack for wielding a sword and a growing need for the Mythean Guardian Cadan.

Cadan is quite bitter after carrying two thousand years of guilt. He thought he knew love and Boudica… all that changed with Diana, she harbors the soul that calls to him but only she can show him what love truly is! Can he help Diana figure out who she is just to let her slip through his finger again? Can fate be that cruel? As a Mythean Cadan is honor bound to help Diana fulfill her destiny. As a man he will do all he can to hold on to her as long as possible.

I loved the intricate historical detail thrown into the book. It wasn’t a history lesson with some romance thrown in. Braving Fate had a Historical Romance feel, yet with a modern flair spun into it as well. Linsey Hall has a superb talent for weaving action, adventure and creativity into a steamy sensual romance. My all-time favorite part had to be when Cadan woke up tied to the bed and Diana planned on torturing him sexually for information….OMG !! The sexual intensity was hot, descriptive but most of all wonderfully thought out and didn’t over power the story line. The Mythean world LH created was yet another great paranormal place to delve. Her creative talent to blend myth with historical facts then stir in some paranormal fun topped off with a good dose of romance makes this series a must have! I am absolutely thrilled that the next 2 books are out already and I can submerge myself in all things Mythean. Totally on my favorite list!!!

A Very Levet Christmas (Guardians of Eternity, #11.5)A Very Levet Christmas by Alexandra Ivy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After thwarting Armageddon and essentially saving the world one would thing getting into a Christmas party would be easy… not so for this Gargoyle.

Levet had high hopes and plans for spending the holidays with Harley the Queen of the Weres. Only problem with that happening would be Harley’s mate Salvatore, to say he was over protective of his children would be an understatement. They are the very first pure-blood Weres to be born in decades.

Levet’s reality comes crashing down on him that he will be utterly alone for the holidays… Whilst he is sulking fate has another option in store for him~

Sera Belle, the intoxicated Christmas Angel is in need of assistance. Her task isn’t for the faint of heart but when Levet hears the babies may be in danger he can hardly refuse.

This throws the story into a familiar spin of the story A Christmas Carol.

Levet and Damon travel to key points in Damon’s life to help set his life on a less destructive path. Because the course he is on now could be the very end of the Weres.

I found the book to be fun and endearing. A swift light read just in time for Christmas. The story held true to the idea of the Christmas Carol yet totally had a supernatural twist… Which is always good~

Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)

Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)Soulfire by Juliette Cross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Juliette Cross started a fantastic new world with Soulfire. Pretty much there is a segregated society of humans and Morgon’s. (Morgon: a race of half human and half dragon)

I feel the best part about the Morgon’s were the fact they always had their wings!! They never transformed from a human guise to a dragon or even part dragon. They were always in their true form!

The story followed a familiar one I have heard before… Romeo and Juliet.
Jessen Cade, has a rather popular name, In fact it can be seen all over the businesses her father owns. Her father happens to feel strongly against Morgon’s having businesses that cater to humans. Whether it is because of their differences or he just can’t stand completion? Who knows? But Jessen’s decision to sneak out to hit up a popular Nightwing club was one that set her on her true path in life.

Soulfire: the Dragon elixir meant for the Morgon’s one and only mate which will bind them together forever.

Lucius Nightwing the direct descendant of Prince Larkos… aka the first Morgan man who supposedly kidnapped a princess and forced her to be his with his Soulfire. Lucius’ family also happens to own the club Jessen’s brother helped trash.
Sparks fly almost as quickly as the insults during their first encounter. One kiss, just one taste and it was as if they had imprinted on each other’s very soul!

Even though the book had a familiar vibe that reminded me of the Original Star crossed lovers, I was in no way thrown off by the similarity. Instead I enjoyed the playful spin. The book was well written with Characters that were original. I can honestly say I am looking forward to all the possibilities this series can branch out into!!! It should also be said that the intimate parts of the book were tasteful and not overly descriptive.. You definitely got the point just without the play by play. (not that i don't like that...bwahahahah)

Play Me (1-5)

Play Me Right (Play Me, #5)Play Me Right by Tracy Wolff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMFG…. Tracy Wolff is an exceptional writer of all things Naughty, Sexual and Wild~

Aria, hard working woman tired of taking shit from egotistical controlling asshats… Men , Whales whatever you would like to label a womanizing, handsy, groping pig. She needs her job in the Highroller area of the Atlantis Casino to make ends meet. But when a Russian whale starts really pushing the line she SNAPS…loses her shit on him and for her stepping in and stopping his assault on another she loses her job. Go figure~

Sebastian Caine the heir to Atlantis, filling in his daddy shoes because his dad is apparently too sick to do the job. Sebastian is totally taken back by Aria’s actions when watching the video feed of her transgression with the Russian Whale. She was the only one with enough balls to pull that man back in place, let’s just say there first interaction was hot enough to set a CLEAR picture of how amazing these books will be. Not only did he promise Aria her job back, but so much more and she has no idea how to take him or his actions.

I was totally swept away with the fast paced writing style Tracy Wolff has put forth in this series… I read them in less than 12 hrs. No hardship there!! They were smoking hot!! Hot as in explicit detail of all things Naughty and sexy… the books start steady with little hidden moments of intensity. Part 2 Play me Hot is all Aria and Sebastian on the Desk against the Window… I was blown away by the intensity these two share and the way they share it…Yowzzza!. Then by the 3rd part Play Me Hard I had a so much if the books Highlighted I just couldn’t stop.. Couldn’t stop reading, couldn’t stop highlighting, I could not put the kindle down! I had to know! Had to know will she give Sebastian the green light to show her what control is about. Is her dark secret going to be exposed? This bring us to Part 4 Play Me Real..it’s in this part you get to learn whats hidden in Sebastian’s past.. and Aria starts to figure out he is unlike any man she has ever known. Part 5 Play Me Right is where it all comes out in the wash! The Play Me story is unfolded and you are just left with this book void! Don’t know how I am going to fill it? It was seriously one of the hottest sexual books I have ever read and I have read tons~ With the BDSM play and the deep connection, that sexual connection that Tracy Wolff exposes shows vulnerability and in those moments you know it’s more than just a book written about sex.
Thinking about reading it from the beginning again.

I received this ARC for an Honest review if you want more than Vanilla sex and something to keep you so turned on you might go off at any moment THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU~

The Silver Pear (The Dark Forest #2)

The Silver Pear (The Dark Forest #2)The Silver Pear by Michelle Diener
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Being a HUGE fan of Michelle Diener’s I was needless to say extremely excited to read this follow up book after the Golden Apple (which was AMAZING).

I was a tiny bit disappointed that the book went back and forth between Kayla & Rane’s journey to Miri & Soren’s. I was hoping Soren would get his own book! I feel that the magic that bespelled me with the Golden Apple was lost on this last book. I wanted to be engrossed but the back and forth really killed it for me. Lots of closure from the previous books vacancies.
I feel like this book had a lot to offer and was really enjoyable, yet I was a little let down. This being said this will not deter me from reading everything else Michelle Diener’s writes. I have adored everything she has written so far! One let down after 2 triumphs, this happens not every book will I love and that’s just my opinion.

Otherworld Nights (Otherworld Stories, #3)

Otherworld Nights (Otherworld Stories, #3)Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With this anthology you get 8 fantastic short stories. Each is different and unique.

Each story ignites’ your curiosity for more. I found myself looking back and forth on Kelly Armstrong’s website to see what I need to read to know more about the Short stories. I have 2 books on my kindle presently to get my next Kelly fix. I have become and addict it seems…lol

I love Anthologies and this one just really churned my desire to submerge myself in KA’s books!! So job well done. I am dying to read more about Hope and Karl, such a funny and quirky couple can’t wait to see how they started dating.

I will freely admit I skipped Elena and Clay’s story, I am an avid watcher of Bitten and I couldn’t spoil it.

They all called to a part of my reading curiosity some more than others but I fell it was a perfect assortment of Short stories! Definitely worth the read!!

Burning Desire Part 4

Burning Desire: Part 4Burning Desire: Part 4 by Donna Grant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The last installment of Burning Desire was like the favorite verse to a new song. One you repeat over and over again.

Kiril is captured and his days of torture have only just begun, yet he finds Shara’s betrayal worse than an eternity in the Dark’s captivity.

Shara’s journey of finding acceptance has come to an end, her time with Kiril has forever changed her.

Will these two lovers make their way out of Balladyn’s keep? Will the truth, love, and loyalty between Kiril and Shara bind them as mates? So many questions and they all get answered in this last installment. Only to leave you wondering what is next for the Dragon Kings? Who will be mated next? Gosh that sounds as foreboding as the death penalty…lol Can’t out run love and fate~

This final part if Burning Desire was thorough and well mapped out to leave you wanting more from the Dragon King world. Nicely done! The chaos was poetic in Balladyn’s fortress of torture, meaning the ending had a follow through. No quick short cuts to happily ever after, they have to really work for it and up until the very end you don’t have a clue on who will be happy or even there in the after. That is the part I really enjoyed! Love when books are unpredictable and you just have to roll with.

Pickup Burning Desire if you love a fun shifter romance I mean who doesn’t want a dragon of their very own? The sexual desire is fan-able not too hot or explicit. The sex was carefully woven and crafted to make the love produced real.

Bring me a Dream #5 Reveler series

Bring Me a Dream (Reveler, #5)Bring Me a Dream by Erin Kellison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Madman and the nightmare… love that intro. It was so true! Ha~

Blackman is really at his wits end after his fight or die encounter with the nightmare from the Scrape. Trying to put it out of his mind is nearly impossible since he is changing, physically. Even in the Dreamwaters the black blood still stains him. All he wants now is revenge for his father’s murder and his sole focus is taking down Didier Lambert. Who better to help him than Lambert’s own daughter, Mirren?

Mirren has been caged her entire life and all she wants is freedom with her son. Is that really too much to ask? I guess so when killing your father is the only option that comes to mind. She is riding high on the oh-no-you-didn’t-just-kidnap-my-son!! Still reeling from the fact her father not only took her son but left him alone in a Reve. (It was one just for him, but not the point).

So these two partner up in more ways than one! Mirren part nightmare with a fading Goddess complex and Vince, shit who knows what is happening to him. One thing is for sure Vince has (2) goals kill Lambert, and screw his daughter…seriously he states it plainly as only he can. I really don’t think either takes precedence.

This being the 5th installment is where the shit really hits the fan. The Sandman is a real enough threat to have a cult! The Oneiros (One Group) they think these nightmares that follow you are a blessing of sorts. It means you are chosen! Well if they knew what I know about the Sandman I don’t think they would drink the kool-aid~

What I really loved about this book is Vince gets his credibility back (at least for the readers) he just really comes through for Mirren and this acceptance they have going for each other is beautiful and refreshing. I mean you have to give people room to not be perfect, especially when they seem perfect for you.

Blackman walks the line and gives Mirren the honest and security she really needs. Don’t get me wrong she is total badass in the Scrape and has unbelievable talent as a Reveler… I mean hello she is half nightmare. Yet she still has needs as a woman, mother and human…Who better than a ½ crazed sexy man who wants to kill your father as much as you do?? Nothing says forever like a murder accomplice. The tenderness and vulnerability shown towards each other gave their relationship a special place in the series, for me at least. I have just adored this series and the fun it has been jumping from one couple’s POV to the next. I have a feeling #6 is going to be Epic!

Burning Desire: Part 3

Burning Desire: Part 3Burning Desire: Part 3 by Donna Grant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shara and Kiril come up with a formidable plan to bring down the opposition. What they fail to remember this that Balladyn is a worthy adversary. Waiting like a tiger in the brush to pounce.

The other Dragon Kings are aware of the Kiril and the peril he has placed himself in. Hopefully they can come to his aid before it’s too late.

I must say the deeper I delve into this book the better it gets. Donna Grant has thought of everything! The equalizing of good and evil is a wondrous thing. I actually have no insight on how the book will end! (Rubs hands together with delight….) HA!! Kiril has a keen instinct he follows along with his heart. Being alive since the dawn of time tends to make him a baddass in his own right, his counterpart in this book has to be Balladyn. Balladyn is equally cunning and astute! This makes the plan to enter the Dark Fae territory somewhat harder than anticipated.

Moving on to Part 4… Thank goodness! I need to know! Will Kiril trust Shara? Is the exiled King working with the Dark? Who the hell is Rhi’s lover? And what happened??? Too Many Questions!

Burning Desire: Part 2

Burning Desire: Part 2Burning Desire: Part 2 by Donna Grant
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Shara will do just about anything to get away from her family. Especially when her father announced he will soon choose a husband for her. All that she is goes against tradition and she yearns for independence. Blackwood is such a feared name amongst the Dark Fae, no one dare go against her Family. With thoughts of severing family ties only two powerful Fae come to mind, Taraeth and Balladyn. Only they would be strong enough to boldly stand against her family.

Careful what you wish for…. Shara’s plan to use Balladyn as a means to an end totally backfired. Sure he promises power, fortune, and freedom but at a much higher cost than she is willing to give. Only after her dealings with the devil does she begin to realize how precious her moment in the sun with Kiril was.
Thoughts of Balladyn capturing her once lover is a weight she can no longer carry. With every bridge burned where to go? Who can she trust? Only one place rings true..Kiril.

The juicy turn of events in Part 2 left me flabbergasted! Shara is equivalent to a caged animal trying everything and anything to attain its freedom. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Shara’s reckless plan has just stirred a shit storm of trouble for her. Her totally abusive and maniacal brother threw her ass under the bus with Balladyn. If the rage and malice his face held upon the news of her “seduction” held any promise, it wasn’t a happily ever after he had in mind!

The plot is so dense in Part 2, the what if’s are killing me. You have the exiled Dragon King, with no inkling of his intentions. Frustrating! Then Shara’s crazy family and now the pissed off Balladyn. Seriously not the guy you want to promise forever then ditch. I have no pretense for what is too come and I find that extremely invigorating! Onward to Part 3~

Burning Desire: Part 1

Burning Desire: Part 1Burning Desire: Part 1 by Donna Grant
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Dark Fae will stop at nothing to ferret out the Dragon Kings long untold secret.
The key to their demise.

Kiril is a Dragon King on a mission, he’ll rescue Rhi. Rhi had been instrumental in saving his Dragon brothers, saving her in return would be the least he could do. Carefully bidding his time in Ireland, waiting for the Dark to finally make their move.

Shara, was the confound beauty that mesmerized him from their very first encounter. Kiril could hardly believe this was the course the Dark wanted to take. Seduction. Game on! Challenge Accepted! Her glamour had him awestricken at first sight and after a second glance he noticed her Red eyes and silver streaked hair did nothing to stop the ache in his groin.

Desire, dark and profound, smoldered through him. It wasn’t the passion that alarmed him, but the raw visceral need to know her, the yearning to taste her

600 years alone chained in a room, locked away and secluded from everyone, should be enough time to atone for her transgressions. At least that’s what Shara thought. She was this anomaly in her family, not quite evil enough. So, she killed the 5 women she brought home giving them reprieve this one act dishonored her in her families eyes. She won’t miss this long waited opportunity to show them she is worthy. Family is everything with the Dark Fae.

Shara’s desire to be touched by this Dragon King shouldn’t be so alarming, it’s a natural reaction to crave what she has lacked for 6 centuries. Touch. Contact. Warmth. In this tangled web she has begun to weave, never once did she imagine the only seclusion and alone time she would be granted was with Kiril. Once she has tasted the passion of the Dragon, can she follow through and gain back her place among her family?

Shara looked at the hand he held out for her.
The warmth , the strength. It made her insides turn to jelly. If he could do that with a simple touch of his hand, what would it be like in his arms, his lips on hers? His skin gliding against hers? His cock filling her?

Part 1 was a great intro into the Dragon King’s series. Kiril is intelligent and strong and extremely loyal. What I really enjoyed was the fact Donna Grant didn’t give it all away in the first part. The mystery isn’t unraveled quickly, I can’t stand when you start a book and instantly the plot just unfolds. Kiril purposely stays in Cork allowing the Dark Fae to keep watch. The way his instincts pick up deception is believable and calculating. Shara is a curiously crafted woman…with her longing & desires going up against her need to be accepted with her family, I am dying to see where her heart will lead her.

This first part is well introduced and leaves you longing for part 2, without the feeling you’ve been robbed! LOL

It is just enough to keep your interest peeked and curiosity strumming. The powerful connection Kiril and Shara stirred with their first coupling has left residual longing that both find hard to resist. I can’t wait to see what part 2 brings to the table~

Bound By Blood (Bound #1)

Bound By Blood (Bound, #1)Bound By Blood by Cynthia Eden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed Bound by Blood.

Vampires and Werewolves have to form an alliance to snuff out the threat of Demons. It appears demons are on the loose and killing off vampires and werewolves alike. They must come together, fortifying their power if they have any hopes of a future.

Jace the Alpha Wolf, has desired Morgan ever since he was sent to put her down. One look at her mourning face upon the day she fully matured into a creature of the dark, he knew killing her was out of the question. His plan was simple offer a proposition of union to the vampires, he gets the princess they get the muscle.

Not really sure what surprised him more Morgan agreeing to be bound, or the wild urge to claim her when she boldly strode into his bar.

Morgan will do anything to keep her nest safe from the vicious attacking demons, even bond with a wolf. All her careful laid plans were shot to shit the moment she had Jace's very essence on her tongue. This powerful blood exchange reveals more than truth or duty.

What these two don't realize is that there is a traitor in the midst who is more that ready to sacrifice all oppositions to gain their hearts desire.

I have been in a rampage of reading Cynthia Eden's books. Each one had a wild sensual under current followed by diversity and action. I crave well rounded erotic romance stories with the hottest sexual encounters and feelings of love that enrapture the reader. You get this all day long with these books!

This story was no different, it was free on Amazon! Even better. The Bound tail has two strong willed main characters that will go to any lengths for their family and soon each other. Hell can't even separate the bond forged.

Burn for Me (Phoenix Fire, #1)

Burn For Me (Phoenix Fire, #1)Burn For Me by Cynthia Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Eve Bradley was pulling all her favors to get into the Genesis lab, thinking her brief medical background would help her blend into the normal routine of things. She knew there was more to the labs then what was on TV and she was the reporter that was going to blow the roof off this lead! All that changed when refusing to sit idle while subject 13 was killed right before her eyes. Not realizing this was a regular day for Subject 13… today a bullet to the chest tomorrow death by drowning.

Cain O’Conner chained up and hoping his next death forged a stronger fire so he can break free of this man made Hell. Every death made him a bigger threat and each rising loosened the bonds he had constructed around his beast. Eve tempts the beast and the man, her candy smell arouses Cain’s primal Phoenix senses that shout Mine~

He Felt the darkness inside him growing.
Kill. Destroy.
The whispers were there- coming from the beast he'd tried hard to keep locked away foe so many years.
Death brought the darkness closer. Made him lose more of the man he'd once been.
Turned him into the beast that destiny had designed him to become.

Cain and Eve’s book was everything I wanted and so much more… Eve has a secret that was never shared, one that makes her Cain’s weakness in every sense of the word!! Once Genesis is in their rear view mirror, trouble and danger stem in every direction like a Hydra the moment one is cut down two more sprout up. Richard Wyatt’s (Mad scientist aka. Frankenstein wannabe) sights have drastically narrowed down to Eve..he wants her! Wants to see why she can withstand the Fire, Why Subject 13 won’t killer her, what better way to fight Fire than with Fire.

"Because your Mine."
Her heart lurched at that.
"Cain..."
He stood before her. The back of her knees hit the bed.
" I climbed out of Hell for you. To come back to you.
When I rose, I wanted to kill everyone around me- anyone who stood between us."

I received ARC of Playing with Fire, and right away I thought this has to be a fluke…right? No book can be this flipping HOT!!! Dominating male with action-in-more-ways-than-one..With a badass storyline. Labs, government testing, super soldiers in the making, rouge viral vampires… the list goes on. So I hoped my happy self over to Amazon and scooped up the other 2 Phoenix Fire books and was left smoldering by the intensity each book stirred. I read through each book and can honestly say Yowza..lets do that again! Each book can be read as a standalone, I have a feeling once you start the series you’ll be in a frenzy to read them all.

Indecent (The Moray Druids, #2)

Indecent (The Moray Druids, #2)Indecent by Kerrigan Byrne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Doomsday Grimoire was safe with Kenna de Moray while she was hiding in an Abbey. Even with her gift of sight she did not foresee who and what fate had in store for her.

Niall Thorson a son of the oldest Berserker clan only intended to raid the Abbey for its gold while sheltering his band of marauders from the impending storm. When he makes eye contact with a woman bound by the wrists being whipped some internal force reaches out to clam her.

Instant sensation took Niall in its thrall. The rivulets of rain running down his forearm to drip from his elbow became a physical caress. The rasp of his clothing against his burning skin an unexpected irritation he needed to be rid of. The muscles along his spine clenched and rolled with the need to be rhythmically thrusting.
Mine

Niall’s hasty bedding of the young female Druid has an unexpected twist upon completion. Kenna happens to be a fire Druid and her powers need to be replenished and the Berserker has ample power to give. Where their coupling has Kenna all hopped up like the energizer bunny Niall is less than fortunate…but what away to die~ Soft hearted Kenna puts all at risk while trying to protect her persecutors which leads her heart home and those she loves to battle.

the fact that this big and lethal warrior- a deities' instrument of death- was now lavishing her skin with his tongue instead of spilling her blood was beginning to mean more with each passing moment they spent alone. She felt...exceptional, cherished somehow, by this man whose name and intent remained unknown.

Yummmmmmy! I dare say these Novellas are not for the faint of heart. If you do not like explicit sexual encounters then feel free to shy away. Your loss~ But if you are not of the faint heart and love adult romance and some bloodshed than be sure to turn the page. I never tire of reading the Berserker love stories where they do tend to get right to the goods, I find I am the kinda girl who eats dessert before dinner! I mean isn’t that the point in a book to be submerged in fantasy? Well if you happen to be even remotely interested in over bearing men succumbing to their wildest desires grab Kerrigan Byrne’s books….any of them!

Insolent (The Moray Druids #1)

Insolent (The Moray Druids #1)Insolent by Kerrigan Byrne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love Kerrigan Byrne's Berserkers!! Each and every story is fresh and original.

Bael Bloodborn, lonesome bastard for hire only knew a lifetime of lonesomeness.
He thought his only salvation would be Valhalla~ Little did he know that he could have his salvation with out his life forfeited.

Morgana de Moray (the Autumn Druid) had no idea resuscitating this giant warrior would bind them together for eternity, her only thoughts were of get back to her family and saving the world. Priorities! Bael's beastly counter part touches the very soul of Morgana with his tender heart and unspoken promise. Now Bael himself that was an entirely different story too scorned to believe in ever being accepted and to enraged that he didn't get his ticket to Valhalla~

With the persistent threat at their heals (3 crazy ass witches) trying to snuff out Moragan and retrieve the Grimoire, will Bael start to trust his berserker instinct and trust Morgana before her life is taken?

These Novella's Kerrigan writes may be short, yet they are each there own well rounded tale. Filled with Passion and War. I have read almost every book she has written with these tantalizing adoring Berserker's and all I can say is I want more~

Night's Deep Hush

Night's Deep Hush (Reveler, #4)Night's Deep Hush by Erin Kellison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The 4th installment in the Revelers series and sleeping will never be the same for some~

Jordan and Rook are still on the run from Chimera and the list of people to trust hasn’t grown any bigger. No honor among thieves…so when Rook’s past collides with his present he has no choice but to lead the danger away from Jordan. Jordan is pure determination when it comes to configuring a plan to contact her sister and getting Rook back! What she doesn’t expect is Vince. How does he keep finding her? Will she accept his help to find Rook? Even better will he accept the truth when it comes to the death of his father?

Night’s Deep Hush starts out with Rook and Jordan hiding out and trying to piece together enough info on Lambert to either take him down or at the very least exploit what the hell is going on in the Scrape. When Rook is force to help Mirren, get this Mirren is Dider Lamberts daughter. Who just so happens to be part nightmare too!! They are reproducing it seems~ Lambert has no heart, so I personally hope he gets what coming to him in the next book! I mean taking your grandson and pretty much leaving him by himself for days seems pretty terrible to me. A mother will do whatever it takes to protect her child…yet she isn’t alone! Vince of all people happens to be the Wild Card when it comes to facing Lambert. All of a sudden I’m rooting for the turncoat.

Out of the series so far this book wasn’t my fav. I guess I wanted a tiny bit more Rook and Jordan time??? But you do get up to speed on our underground heroes. And feelings start to fly on promises of love with Rook and Jordan. Loads of intrigue when it comes to the infamous Sandman, what is his end game in all of this? That is the question! I found that this short had loads of answers yet more questions and I feel no closure in sight. When it comes to writing I guess that’s a good thing though~

On a good note Mirren and Vince just might be joining in the fight against this menacing threat! And if it isn’t Lambert who the hell is it?!

High hopes for the 5th installment! Dream on Revelers…

Mine to Have

Mine to Have (Mine, #5)Mine to Have by Cynthia Eden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Elizabeth Ward left everything behind after a car accident killed her parents. Now she is back in Miami and working on making something of her life. All her hopeful plans are sidetracked when she is kidnapped and tied to a chair in the back room of a dive bar.

Saxon Black undercover-one-man-killing-machine-extraordinar…is derailed on his last mission, one look at Elizabeth and her huge pleading eyes has him struck with all the things he’s missing and working toward. All at once Saxon wants. He wants this mission to be over, he wants to start a real life and he wants Elizabeth.

What Saxon wants he gets. Uncertainty plagues Elizabeth when this mercenary of a man lays down her abductors and takes her on the ride of her life.

This Mine series is full of Dominate males and their I-get-what-I-want attitudes. Love it!! The fact that the good guys are depicted just as carnivorous as the villains really casts the mold for the men to expect in this series~ Loyal, Aggressive, Male and chockfull of testosterone. SCORE!!!!

Elizabeth’s confused state of mind is easy to relate to, she no longer has a gun to her head but who is going to rescue her from Saxon? Twice as deadly as the men who abducted her, he put that roomful of killers down without breaking a sweat. Now on the run trying to piece together who would want her dead. Her only way to survive is Saxon and his brother Vic. When the bodies keep piling up it becomes apparent there is a mole in the FBI. Someone is a step ahead and the victims are put down with no clue as to the why~ This book is nonstop action from one page to the next~ I personally love a book with gruesome murders and deep cover killers, I found myself right at home in reading this book. Put it down in 2 days. Don’t forget the romance!! When a longtime undercover agent finally gets strung out on a female you bet your ass it’s going to be one hot and heavy encounter after another! The action is as rapid as the gun fire. As a woman I adored all the overprotective attention Saxon showed. For all that hardcore killing he had this needy side that really spoke to me. Looking for some afternoon action be sure to pick up this book~

First Annual BDSM Writers Con Anthology

First Annual BDSM Writers Con AnthologyFirst Annual BDSM Writers Con Anthology by Lori Perkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This first BDSM Anthology definitely has something for everyone with 21 short stories. I have read loads of books along the D/s story line and this Anthology really has a vast selection of short stories. Some shorts were harder than others to read through...lol But I enjoyed the majority of the snippets. The parts that really grabbed me where the sneak peeks into some new books from authors I have never read.
Funny thing is most of the authors included in this Anthology I have never read and I do love variety and being introduced to writing styles. Over all I enjoyed the book.

Bound by Night (Moon Bound Vampires #1)

Bound by Night (MoonBound Clan Vampire, #1)Bound by Night by Larissa Ione
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Vampires are reborn in this new series from Larissa Ione.

Nicole Martin comes from the notorious Martin Family. The Martins are famous for all the experimental drugs that derived from the lab rat vamps and methods to help keep them slaves. (Think weapons, and experimental cures…..made and marketed on the inhuman torture of another) That and the fact her family was almost all slaughtered by their subservient vampire slaves. The only survivors are her and her 1/2 brother, who turns out to be a sadistic jealous Looney tune~ Nicole’s life is turned upside down by Riker, he has been haunting her dreams since she was a very young child when she saw him kill her nanny Terese, but 20 years later standing in her doorway with demands for help she is effected in more ways than one.

Riker is a lone wolf in the Moonbound Clan of Vampires. Still not emotionally over the loss of his mate, his revenge is fueled by unrelinquished anger for the Martin household. When opportunity strikes he has no qualms against taking Nicole against her will to help achieve his clan’s safety.
No cost is too big? Or is it?

Her kidnap leads to their salvation~

Little do they know Rikers kidnapping of Nicole leads them down a life altering path. One neither expected, and the truths that are brought to light also surface past torment. Nicole’s eyes open to the harsh realities of what her family’s corporation has done to the vampires. I assure you it is beyond the moral compass of the most heinous individuals. I think what Nicole is subjected to really shows how wrong and blinded she has been all these years. Riker’s long compartmentalized past has no choice but to be called out when confronted by reality and his grief may have cost him more than he ever realized he had.

This book really spins the vampire storyline, the fact they all come from Native American Indian tribes. Way Cool!! The tribal influence carefully weaved throughout the book gives it a one of a kind feel! Refreshing, magical and romantic~ Sigh.. This Earthy take on vampirism will be well received. I found vampires to be reborn in this first book of the series; I am eagerly anticipating the rest of these books! I hope she gets crazy with this series!!! The basis for the series is so well thought-out and original, what more can you ask for? But really can’t say that I am surprised. Larissa Ione never skimps on the detail or holds back in her writing.

Steel and Song (The Aileron Chronicles, #1)

Steel and Song (The Aileron Chronicles, #1)Steel and Song by Ani Bolton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Steel and song had a blend of magic and folklore to it that was very intriguing. The creative thinking that a witch can make a aircraft fly was pretty freaking cool!

Tova has little to no choices in life, use your magic to fly an aileron or go straight to the trenches where her survival rate will be slightly lower than burning out whilst flying. Airwitches are becoming extremely hard to come by during the war. So her journey begins with a misunderstanding in her village that sends her to war. The Vana clan is mostly field sorcerers but she is the only exception. Tova is the odd man out and is dangerously close to going to the trenches when fate steps in and decides if she’s an Airwitch she’ll do. Thrust into flying an aileron with no experience is a care Airship captain Piers Dashkov does not have, if she dies then he’ll find another.

The story really picks up while Tova is under the watchful eye of her crew she struggles with settling in in the military base. On Pier’s crew she non-intentionally makes a difference maybe they realize what a fierce heart she has and this fueled with determination make her valuable to them. That and there is a shortage of Airwitches..

I did enjoy this book I feel like it could have used a glossary, I was lost on a couple terms. I understood that it was about a large war going on and the magic welders were the lower class, a lower class that was preparing for revolution. They were expendable and didn’t realize they actually held all the power. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the read but I wish I would have had a reference to understand more fully about the class system. The book had a steampunk vibe but also some folklore as well. One thing that stood out for me was Tova love to sing and this was forbidden… I wanted to understand this a little more also what the singing had to do with Tova’s magic. Maybe in the next book.

The book was enjoyable and complicated…lol But given the chance I would read the next~

Unborn (Unborn Series #1)

Unborn (Unborn, #1)Unborn by Amber Lynn Natusch
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have this feeling Unborn will be a huge success in the book world! I love the Greek flavor this book delves into! So unique and extremely well delivered~

Khara, is a child of Ares the god of war. What makes her special isn’t being his child but his only daughter. No females that came from his loins ever survived, as he wished it they were all killed. This well kept secret is thrust from the depths of the Underworld to Earth…Detroit to be exact. Almost slain by her own brother, that is before he realized that she too is a product of Ares. Drew one of her brother’s in Detroit is part of the PC…Petronus Ceteri (aka the protectors of others). The PC maintain the frail balance between the natural and supernatural. The Detroit PC is maintained by her 4 brothers and Oz… a fallen angel. Soon after her arrival it is apparent Khara is an Unborn (kind like a baby angel) yet she is in her adult state. With unfurled wings her soul is a fragile thing that can be claimed by dark or light.

Evil in its purest form lurk in Detroit, Khara is a beacon calling to that evil and she becomes easliy entranced by it. So the brothers and Oz have to step it up to keep her from harm’s way. Khara has survived in the Underworld for years, living in this environment has made her fearless. Not fearless as in a total badass, but she has had rather hard lessons in her life and realized early on that fear needed to be masked. She accepts whatever fate has in store for her. Can Khara hold her composure when all she has gained is threatened… will she let them all die to protect her?

I found this book to be a treasure! The Greek Mythology was so well blended into the story you don’t need a glossary for the terms or to clear up what the hell is going on. It was simplistically wonderful! I was really unsure of how the book would be I have never read or heard of Amber Lynn Natusch…but I assure you I have now. I will be ready to pounce on her next book in this series!!

The beauty with Khara was watching these new feeling evolve….much like an child learning to smile for the first time. Her first attempts at humor are very fitting to see where and what her life has been. The taste of freedom is a rich and wonderful thing for her something she will fight for. The book has a smooth ending that makes to want to scream like an impetulant child for the next dose of Amber Lynn Natusch’s writing~ I need to know what happens next with Oz and Khara, what will her brothers do? Will Ares find out he has a daughter??? So many variables!

Penumbra (Spook Squad #3)

Penumbra (Spook Squad, #3)Penumbra by Keri Arthur
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sam is on cusp of remembering her past. A past she wanted to erase. She is putting her life first and foremost; her first action is severing her partnership with Gabriel. Sam is tired of being cooped up in the closet like office, no more! Her new assignment is with the clone of the Wetherton, which may place her in more danger than she realizes. At this point Sam is far to determined to care…. She wants answers!
Watching Wetherton and trying to find out who is behind that list of clones, vampires and marked targets. What does this all have to do with Hopeworth? Will there be a war with Sethanon??

OMG!!!! So Sam splits the terrible partnership with Gabriel, only to find out they may never be able to really sever that connection. Gabriel is still an ass for ignoring Sam and his feelings that are lurking underneath his oath to a long dead mate. So while undercover Sam has these amazing connecting moments where the puzzle pieces are all lining up. (Rubs hand together…finally) Nobody is who they seem to be! Which makes this mystery so epic! Yes, there were some great strides with Gab and Sam, yet the truth that is found is so outrageous I can’t even imagine what the next book has in store!!! I was delighted to finally figure out who Joe and Josh are, also who and what Sethanon is about.
Need that last book pronto! I loved this series so far… so much action and the mystery is layered so intricately. Fantastic read!!!

How to Reprimand you Rock Star

How to Reprimand Your Rock StarHow to Reprimand Your Rock Star by Mina Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ever have the hankering for something a little dirty yet tasteful, that is exactly what I had in mind when grabbing this book. Mina Vaughn I salute you! I wanted something that has fantastic sensual encounters but still had a really good story line besides the sex, then top all that off with some kink for good measure. I swear Mina Vaughn fills that book void like no other!!

Thea “Pops” Papastathopoulos is the up and coming Rookie of the Year at UConn. Balancing her GPA and staying on the starting lineup is a full time job, especially if she wants to maintain her scholarship. A chance encounter with Keaton Lowe throws her from the rule abiding path she has always taken. His expecting eyes and behavior surface a new part to Thea that she didn’t even know existed. This extremely popular musician is taken back by Thea. He loves the fact that she has absolutely no idea who he is or what he does. So when he strategically implements himself in her life are they going to be bound for disaster or pleasure?

This is the 2nd Mina Vaughn book I have read and they NEVER disappoint. I will freely admit I love a good D/s book. The difference with Mina’s books is the woman is the Top/ Domme/Mistress….Whatever you want to call it and these girls know how to gain submission. There is no smut here; just a girl with a taste for more than vanilla sex. At least she thinks that I mean she is a virgin so I think sex in general is going to be exploratory as well it should be. So you have the freshman rookie doing her college thing then she gets caught up in the too-tight-leather-pants-rocker who only wants to submit to her. But the beauty in the book is Thea grasping what she wants in life. Knowing what she wants and taking it. Her exploring this Domme side actually helps her gain control in other aspect to her life. The book unravels in the most delicious ways! I am terribly excited to read whatever Mina Vaughn throws at her readers next!!!
