Forsaken by the Others (H&W Investigations, #5)Forsaken by the Others by Jess Haines
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I had really high hopes for this book. I think I will review it again after I read the first 4 or so!!
Right from the start I had no idea what was going on. Shiarra and Royce are in bed and talking about what they just went through...what would that be exactly?? I mean I have read loads of series and so far I haven't had this problem. Problem being if you haven't read the first books you will be lost!! This went on until chapter 9 and then some.. The constant mention of these BIG OCCURRENCES that I had NO Privy to!
This was a Huge setback for me. I was dying each time Shiarra would have any intimate conversation with anyone.. .
The story was slow for me and made it really hard to read through.
I recieved this for an honest review.

Lingerie Wars (Invertary, book one)Lingerie Wars by Janet Elizabeth Henderson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sigh, I just love a good romance!!

The Invertary Series is going to be a hit!! Seriously!
I found the Battle of the bras a great setting for a romance. Lake Benson exmilitary swooping in to save the day, or his sister for that matter. Just happens to save everyone he comes into contact with just a little.

If anyone needs saving that would be Super sleek & sexy Kirsty Campbell! These to clash and have a battle royal with who has the best knicker shop in town.

This book is filled with laughter, love and amazing hysterical women!!
I had a hard time putting it down. So much camaraderie to be had in these pages. Within the book were great little stories and tidbits of what may come up in the other books. Each character in the book had their own part to play and it really made it fun and wholesome!!

Caged Warrior (Dragon Kings, #1)Caged Warrior by Lindsey Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thought the book was brilliant!
Savagely beautiful! First book form Lindsey Piper but it will not be the last.

I found the idea and story behind Dragon Kings truly creative. What I really loved was the book unfolded and told it's own story. Without pages of defining every term, everything explained it's self as you read.

Fast paced and heart stopping all the action was perfectly detailed!! You saw it all happening as you read. I found the brutality just mind blowing but it made the revenge all the more sweeter!!
My all time fav. part was when Leto's POV and Nynn's were swapped out. He realized just how sorted his way of thinking was when Nynn was spewing the same garble as he was in the beginning.

Edgey and new I loved the book from the beginning to the end!!!
Totally new genre for the paranormal!!

The Pleasures of SummerThe Pleasures of Summer by Evie Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Evie Hunter has turned up the notch of "Kinky Fuckery"... For all those 50 Shade fans This book is not to be passed up! Being the avid reader that I am The Pleasures of Summer was a Hot sensual sequel to The Pleasures of Winter. Lets say you have read Mountain Masters Series and you are looking for more, this is the place to start.

Summer spoiled to the point of almost rottin O'Sullivan, has time and again bitten off more than she can chew. Designer clothes and partying all night still leaves her bitterly alone. Her world seems great until another threat on her life slaps her back to reality.
In comes 1/2 Scottish..lol
Flynn Grant, who better to guard her body than him? Flynn is C4's best friend. If Summer needs someone to keep her inline Flynn will happily "toe the line". The chemistry just sizzles off the pages. Summer's tenacity mixed with not really knowing what the hell she really wants makes her kinda a bitch...lol Take away the Money and Necessities Summer thinks she can't live without...Essentially stripping her bare. Now add a Dominate sexually prowess man, and a remote location and she just may come out of this a woman worth taking a bullet for.

These hot D/s books are Entertaining and well rounded. Meaning there is so much more going on emotionally then the hot one on one time. The struggle with your own self doubt, and being comfortable with who you really are and not what you think people want you to be all come to play here as well.

Scotsmen Prefer Blondes (Muses of Mayfair, #2)Scotsmen Prefer Blondes by Sara Ramsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sara Ramsey where have you been all my life...lol This is yet another fantastic Highland Lust/Love Story..I can't express enough how amazing the writing is!!!

" He was nearly as chiseled as any ancient statue, but he wasn't cold- he was heat, and velvet with a surprising amount of dark hair leading down his belly toward the opening she worked to unfasten"...I mean holy hotness! This was one of the cleaner highlights I have from this book..lol and there were many moments I just adored the writing!!

Sheer poetry to the page..

"Despite all the odds, and all her denials, she'd found what she needed. And it wasn't in the pages of a book. It was in his heart, bleeding on the ground in front of her, waiting for her to pick it up".

Two people with an undeniable attraction for each other, one throwing caution to the wind, and the other afraid to lose themselves.

But what a way to be lost!! 5 Star read..

The Hunter (Highland Guard, #7)The Hunter by Monica McCarty
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was more like a Highland Suspense Novel..lol Sprinkled with some romance. The story was really easy to follow, even without starting at the beginning of the series.

Ewen tracker extraordinaire can find Sister Genna/ Janet of Mar anywhere she goes.. and thank goodness for that!
Janet's smooth talking capabilities help her weasel out of a number of dangerous situations! But when she least expects it Ewen the Hunter finds her and keeps her safe... even from herself.
This Highland story is filled with loads of historic features that give it a very honest telling. I absolutely thought Sister Genna was hilarious, intelligent and a quick thinker....her character was unlike any other I have ever read. I kept expecting her folies to show that she was less than capable at what she was doing, alas I was disappointed. This strong woman meets up to every challenge and knows how to push back and take what she wants in the world..(Applause)
Ewen is a strong ALPHA Male which is key in every good Highland romance.. He has a way of being present without smothering Janet and letting her fulfill her role as a courier. No matter what role she is playing at and there are so many. Those different roles each bring danger and excitement and show how women can play important roles even without brute muscle and a sword.

Ewen and Janet's story is peppered with desire and romance... I really never knew if this would be the moment Ewen would be true to his roots and act out like his father...or hold fast to be honorable. Good thing Janet is strong enough to take the lead.

All in all I really want to read more of the books Monica McCarty has written...

The Marquess Who Loved Me (Muses of Mayfair, #3)The Marquess Who Loved Me by Sara Ramsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 star read!!

Sara Ramsey artfully sculpts the written word!
Her writing is so emotional stirring you can barely catch your breath.
Reading this book was like falling in love with reading all over again! You know that moment where you never want the story to end. Nick and Ellie lovers in youth, but neither fought for what they both wanted...each other.
This fast moving crescendo has you riding every emotion possible right up to the end!
I was utterly amazed at every turn.. The hate filled revenge Nick wanted to serve Ellie was a tangible thing.. you could feel his rage and hurt. All the while understanding why Ellie forced him away. The ebb and flow between these two was simply fantastic.. Each moment was so carefully played out...let us not leave out the hot passionate nights shared. They say making up is the best part about fighting. Now imagine a 10 year grudge and how steamy the atonement can be...
So much excitement and drama... I read loads of Historical Romance but Sara Ramsey has a strong sense of telling a story that you hang on every word...and just eating it up!!

Dancing with the Duke (Landing a Lord, #0.5)Dancing with the Duke by Suzanna Medeiros
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Childhood crushes can lead to adult infatuation especially for Charlotte.. Who wholeheartedly plans on ensnaring Alex. Alex, being her best friend's brother and forever crush!!

I just finished Loving the Marquess.. Loved it soo much I looked up more book from Suzanna Medeiros..Low and behold I found this one for free no less.

The novella was a perfect length for a romance to bloom in. The romance was touching and loving.. I mean these two had years of history. With Charlotte being a family friend they practically grew up together. I do believe timing is everything! Great read I look forward on more books from this fantastic articulate author!!

Loving the Marquess (Landing a Lord, #1)Loving the Marquess by Suzanna Medeiros

Being a true lover of Historical Romance, this book was exceptional!!

Circumstance brought them together..

Louisa, struggling with difficult choices to make for her family. She wouldn't be sacrificing too much by marrying Nicolas the Marquess of Overlea. Even though they just met and his family did robber her of her former home.
Nicolas suffering from an illness plaguing the men in his family for years, needs an heir. With his back against the wall he takes finding a wife into his own hands.
Needing an heir and being afraid to father one, really doesn't sit well with the Marquess. But that is what friends are for, right?? When in doubt of passing off a terrible fate on your own child.. have a friend impregnate your new wife. It all sounds ingenious in your own mind..

The plot to this romance was smart and fun to read!! The characters were well developed I easily fell in love with most of the players introduced in the story. They each brought something to the table. something substantial! . I wanted to hear about them as well as the Louisa and Nicolas. The writing was not overly descriptive and the romance was HOT!! LOVED IT!!

Her Mad HatterHer Mad Hatter by Marie Hall
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After reading to review Hook's Pan I was totaly interested in the Kingdom Series!

Hatter on the verge of being completely bonkers can't stand taking his chances on loving another Alice. Getting lost in his madness from being scorned by the first Alice who only wanted his power not his heart!

Alice Wu 3rd Generation, Has a corkey way of living and completely adores Wonderland and the Hatter..all from reading the traditional book Alice in Wonderland. So in love is she that she opens up her own Cupcakery a tribute to her obsession.
The question remains when facing the one thing or in this case person you want most to be real...What will she do? Her very own sizzling hot Hatter in the flesh.
Will she grab hold of the opportunity at love??

I found that Marie Hall's Kingdom series is a quick go to when looking for a really good read!! I have read about 2 a day. They each have loads of appeal!! Romance, Alpha males on the naughty side.. and they fall hard for their much needed mate. This rendition of Alice in Wonderland..being there were many Alice's brought in to fill the role, I loved that spin on the original tale!! The way Wonderland is portrayed is witty funny and nonsensical..as it should be~

Hook, Line and Forever..

Hook's Pan (Kingdom, #5)Hook's Pan by Marie Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bad Boys need a happy ending too don't ya think??

Well Sexy, take no prisoners James Hook is no exception. After a tragic separation from his soul mate right before their wedding, how could he ever love again. His narrow vision is solely on Peter Pan and inflicting as much pain as he can muster.

Then we have Trishelle Page...where to start with this blonde bombshell.
Having a loved one ripped away from her has left her jaded and dissevered from real relationships. Her up and coming role as Peter Pan is cut short with a short sabbatical to the real Neverland..right at Hook's feet.

Marie Hall's Bad Boy fairy tale was easy to enjoy. With her humor and dynamic way of recreating Neverland you will be entranced! The connection between Hook and Trishelle you can't help but root for them. I loved the opposing look at Peter Pan as well I think it is a much more accurate way to perceive him...loved how the story unfolded.

Beauty and the Wolf (The Cursed Princes, #1)Beauty and the Wolf by Marina Myles
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I thought the spin on a fairy tale classic was a fantastic idea.
Isabella and Draven's story started out really strong for me. Somewhere in the middle it fizzled out, I found it kinda predictable.
Isabella's looks for clues "bam" there is the key. She confront Draven and he pours it all on her. I feel the story just leaked at the seams. All the really important stuff came soooo easily, Isabella's father has mental issues well I have an appointment with the very same man who discovered it.
The romance was well written with the exception it didn't have an emotional response. It wasn't exciting or titillating..
Just trying to be honest, I had high hopes for the book.
I am curious about the rest of the series. I wish the author a successful career.

Redeemed (The MacKay's #2)Redeemed by Kerrigan Byrne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Death shouldn't be able to stop love from happening right?? After a brutal death by fire Kylah becomes a Banshee. Drawn to a dark cavern following the sadness and anger she felt, leads her to her future. Well actually a savagely beautiful Druid with a penchant for revenge.

Daroch is lead through life by logic and a scientific way of thinking. He is dead set on being the master of his own fate. After his hard lesson learned in life, he will have his vengeance on those who imprisoned him. His sanctuary is definitely disrupted by the beautiful and brilliant Banshee. Only together they can over come the past transgressions that would have consumed them.

I just LOVE Highland romances, and Kerrigan Byrne is an author easy to love. Her stories include berserkers, shifters and now Banshees with her own personal flair thrown in the mix. Things you can count on in her writing would be: Action,Love, Sexy Highland men, Beautiful strong women, and some HOT one on one time with the two.

I have never been disappointed with any of her books, and even better you don't have to read them in order, to know what is going on!!
