Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)

Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)Soulfire by Juliette Cross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Juliette Cross started a fantastic new world with Soulfire. Pretty much there is a segregated society of humans and Morgon’s. (Morgon: a race of half human and half dragon)

I feel the best part about the Morgon’s were the fact they always had their wings!! They never transformed from a human guise to a dragon or even part dragon. They were always in their true form!

The story followed a familiar one I have heard before… Romeo and Juliet.
Jessen Cade, has a rather popular name, In fact it can be seen all over the businesses her father owns. Her father happens to feel strongly against Morgon’s having businesses that cater to humans. Whether it is because of their differences or he just can’t stand completion? Who knows? But Jessen’s decision to sneak out to hit up a popular Nightwing club was one that set her on her true path in life.

Soulfire: the Dragon elixir meant for the Morgon’s one and only mate which will bind them together forever.

Lucius Nightwing the direct descendant of Prince Larkos… aka the first Morgan man who supposedly kidnapped a princess and forced her to be his with his Soulfire. Lucius’ family also happens to own the club Jessen’s brother helped trash.
Sparks fly almost as quickly as the insults during their first encounter. One kiss, just one taste and it was as if they had imprinted on each other’s very soul!

Even though the book had a familiar vibe that reminded me of the Original Star crossed lovers, I was in no way thrown off by the similarity. Instead I enjoyed the playful spin. The book was well written with Characters that were original. I can honestly say I am looking forward to all the possibilities this series can branch out into!!! It should also be said that the intimate parts of the book were tasteful and not overly descriptive.. You definitely got the point just without the play by play. (not that i don't like that...bwahahahah)

Play Me (1-5)

Play Me Right (Play Me, #5)Play Me Right by Tracy Wolff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMFG…. Tracy Wolff is an exceptional writer of all things Naughty, Sexual and Wild~

Aria, hard working woman tired of taking shit from egotistical controlling asshats… Men , Whales whatever you would like to label a womanizing, handsy, groping pig. She needs her job in the Highroller area of the Atlantis Casino to make ends meet. But when a Russian whale starts really pushing the line she SNAPS…loses her shit on him and for her stepping in and stopping his assault on another she loses her job. Go figure~

Sebastian Caine the heir to Atlantis, filling in his daddy shoes because his dad is apparently too sick to do the job. Sebastian is totally taken back by Aria’s actions when watching the video feed of her transgression with the Russian Whale. She was the only one with enough balls to pull that man back in place, let’s just say there first interaction was hot enough to set a CLEAR picture of how amazing these books will be. Not only did he promise Aria her job back, but so much more and she has no idea how to take him or his actions.

I was totally swept away with the fast paced writing style Tracy Wolff has put forth in this series… I read them in less than 12 hrs. No hardship there!! They were smoking hot!! Hot as in explicit detail of all things Naughty and sexy… the books start steady with little hidden moments of intensity. Part 2 Play me Hot is all Aria and Sebastian on the Desk against the Window… I was blown away by the intensity these two share and the way they share it…Yowzzza!. Then by the 3rd part Play Me Hard I had a so much if the books Highlighted I just couldn’t stop.. Couldn’t stop reading, couldn’t stop highlighting, I could not put the kindle down! I had to know! Had to know will she give Sebastian the green light to show her what control is about. Is her dark secret going to be exposed? This bring us to Part 4 Play Me Real..it’s in this part you get to learn whats hidden in Sebastian’s past.. and Aria starts to figure out he is unlike any man she has ever known. Part 5 Play Me Right is where it all comes out in the wash! The Play Me story is unfolded and you are just left with this book void! Don’t know how I am going to fill it? It was seriously one of the hottest sexual books I have ever read and I have read tons~ With the BDSM play and the deep connection, that sexual connection that Tracy Wolff exposes shows vulnerability and in those moments you know it’s more than just a book written about sex.
Thinking about reading it from the beginning again.

I received this ARC for an Honest review if you want more than Vanilla sex and something to keep you so turned on you might go off at any moment THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU~

The Silver Pear (The Dark Forest #2)

The Silver Pear (The Dark Forest #2)The Silver Pear by Michelle Diener
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Being a HUGE fan of Michelle Diener’s I was needless to say extremely excited to read this follow up book after the Golden Apple (which was AMAZING).

I was a tiny bit disappointed that the book went back and forth between Kayla & Rane’s journey to Miri & Soren’s. I was hoping Soren would get his own book! I feel that the magic that bespelled me with the Golden Apple was lost on this last book. I wanted to be engrossed but the back and forth really killed it for me. Lots of closure from the previous books vacancies.
I feel like this book had a lot to offer and was really enjoyable, yet I was a little let down. This being said this will not deter me from reading everything else Michelle Diener’s writes. I have adored everything she has written so far! One let down after 2 triumphs, this happens not every book will I love and that’s just my opinion.

Otherworld Nights (Otherworld Stories, #3)

Otherworld Nights (Otherworld Stories, #3)Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With this anthology you get 8 fantastic short stories. Each is different and unique.

Each story ignites’ your curiosity for more. I found myself looking back and forth on Kelly Armstrong’s website to see what I need to read to know more about the Short stories. I have 2 books on my kindle presently to get my next Kelly fix. I have become and addict it seems…lol

I love Anthologies and this one just really churned my desire to submerge myself in KA’s books!! So job well done. I am dying to read more about Hope and Karl, such a funny and quirky couple can’t wait to see how they started dating.

I will freely admit I skipped Elena and Clay’s story, I am an avid watcher of Bitten and I couldn’t spoil it.

They all called to a part of my reading curiosity some more than others but I fell it was a perfect assortment of Short stories! Definitely worth the read!!

Burning Desire Part 4

Burning Desire: Part 4Burning Desire: Part 4 by Donna Grant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The last installment of Burning Desire was like the favorite verse to a new song. One you repeat over and over again.

Kiril is captured and his days of torture have only just begun, yet he finds Shara’s betrayal worse than an eternity in the Dark’s captivity.

Shara’s journey of finding acceptance has come to an end, her time with Kiril has forever changed her.

Will these two lovers make their way out of Balladyn’s keep? Will the truth, love, and loyalty between Kiril and Shara bind them as mates? So many questions and they all get answered in this last installment. Only to leave you wondering what is next for the Dragon Kings? Who will be mated next? Gosh that sounds as foreboding as the death penalty…lol Can’t out run love and fate~

This final part if Burning Desire was thorough and well mapped out to leave you wanting more from the Dragon King world. Nicely done! The chaos was poetic in Balladyn’s fortress of torture, meaning the ending had a follow through. No quick short cuts to happily ever after, they have to really work for it and up until the very end you don’t have a clue on who will be happy or even there in the after. That is the part I really enjoyed! Love when books are unpredictable and you just have to roll with.

Pickup Burning Desire if you love a fun shifter romance I mean who doesn’t want a dragon of their very own? The sexual desire is fan-able not too hot or explicit. The sex was carefully woven and crafted to make the love produced real.

Bring me a Dream #5 Reveler series

Bring Me a Dream (Reveler, #5)Bring Me a Dream by Erin Kellison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Madman and the nightmare… love that intro. It was so true! Ha~

Blackman is really at his wits end after his fight or die encounter with the nightmare from the Scrape. Trying to put it out of his mind is nearly impossible since he is changing, physically. Even in the Dreamwaters the black blood still stains him. All he wants now is revenge for his father’s murder and his sole focus is taking down Didier Lambert. Who better to help him than Lambert’s own daughter, Mirren?

Mirren has been caged her entire life and all she wants is freedom with her son. Is that really too much to ask? I guess so when killing your father is the only option that comes to mind. She is riding high on the oh-no-you-didn’t-just-kidnap-my-son!! Still reeling from the fact her father not only took her son but left him alone in a Reve. (It was one just for him, but not the point).

So these two partner up in more ways than one! Mirren part nightmare with a fading Goddess complex and Vince, shit who knows what is happening to him. One thing is for sure Vince has (2) goals kill Lambert, and screw his daughter…seriously he states it plainly as only he can. I really don’t think either takes precedence.

This being the 5th installment is where the shit really hits the fan. The Sandman is a real enough threat to have a cult! The Oneiros (One Group) they think these nightmares that follow you are a blessing of sorts. It means you are chosen! Well if they knew what I know about the Sandman I don’t think they would drink the kool-aid~

What I really loved about this book is Vince gets his credibility back (at least for the readers) he just really comes through for Mirren and this acceptance they have going for each other is beautiful and refreshing. I mean you have to give people room to not be perfect, especially when they seem perfect for you.

Blackman walks the line and gives Mirren the honest and security she really needs. Don’t get me wrong she is total badass in the Scrape and has unbelievable talent as a Reveler… I mean hello she is half nightmare. Yet she still has needs as a woman, mother and human…Who better than a ½ crazed sexy man who wants to kill your father as much as you do?? Nothing says forever like a murder accomplice. The tenderness and vulnerability shown towards each other gave their relationship a special place in the series, for me at least. I have just adored this series and the fun it has been jumping from one couple’s POV to the next. I have a feeling #6 is going to be Epic!
