The Damsel and the Daggerman (Blud, #2.5)The Damsel and the Daggerman by Delilah S. Dawson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I recieved this for an honest review.

In the world of Pinkies, Tinkers and Bluds another story surfaces, this one about the mysterious lives of the carnivalleos. Journalist Jacinda Harville has her sights set on the mystery that is Criminey's Caravan, wanting to expose the life and not the secrets will be easy for this hard pressed truth teller. Marco Taresque the infamous daggerman and main attraction or at least for Jacinda. He has quickly piqued her interest with his murderous back round, and sinister kisses. Keeping a level head will be no easy task for this adventurer. Her journalism quickly turns into a game of cat and mouse with the deadly knifethrower. Jacinda desperately wants the truth exposed, but she'll settle for his body instead....Beggars can't be choosers.

This novella is another part in the Sang clockwork, each word placed well according to its function.
Delilah S. Dawson uses words much like a tinkerer....finding that perfect match over and over again.
I find her writing witty and rich, the detail in which she dresses the pages you can see the characters manifest as you read. Corsets, lace up stockings and a Sang flare you can only experience here. Jacinda and Marco's story has a youthful feel to lighten up the dangerous world they are entertaining. The climax was unexpected and a real twist, one a that really ties it all together.

I would totally recommend this book, I finished it in 1 sitting and I am really looking forward to the next book!

Circle of Death (Damask Circle, #2)Circle of Death by Keri Arthur
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

2nd installment of the Damask Circle and I hope the series never ends.

Kirby living life in the government system is no way to live for a child, the friendship she found with Helen seemed to be the only thing that helped her make it through. Now that Helen is gone, murdered where does that leave her? Kirby is an elemental witch not that she really know what that entails, but she always knew she had magic as did her friend Helen. (Love the magic spin)...Alone in a town she just moved to with no family, who is their to talk/turn to when things just start spinning outta control. Nobody that's who, especially not Doyle the panther shifter who has impeccable timing when it comes to saving people.

Working together Kirby and Doyle are racing to uncover who is killing the elemental witches, and what are they doing with all that power? Doyle is using all is decorum when it comes to Kirby. He's not sure where her deep rooted trust issues stem from but he sure doesn't want to jump on the bandwagon. Especially with the physical draw he feels towards her. With a new nemesis rising, Kirby is the only key in shutting down the threat.

This book was totally different than the 1st which really shows just how creative Keri Arthur is!
Each book is a new story with well thought out heroines and equally warped and sinister adversaries to go up against. This is something you can depend on when reading a KA book...least the 6 I have read so far. Plus the added bonus is the romance and potential love rising through the storm.

Circle of Fire (Damask Circle, #1)Circle of Fire by Keri Arthur
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this copy for an honest review.

Circle of Fire the Damask Circle book#1 this spin off series is another sure thing Keri Arthur has published!

Maddie is lonely and tired of life beating her down, really doesn't know how to handle the apparition that keeps visiting her and begging her for help. Jon keeps visiting Maddie in hopes to lure her from her safe & sheltered life in order to rescue him. Jon, working for the Damask Circle needs to find the missing teenagers before it's too late.
The Damask Circle is similar to a private investigation firm with an edge. Each member has otherworldly talents used to kick the bad guys asses, some shifters, vampires and loads of magic.

Jon sexy shifter that he is tried to warn Maddie of the impending danger surrounding her...stubborn to the core nothing will move this woman, that is until she realizes her only shot at finding her recently kidnapped nephew lies at the bottom of a well.

Want to live forever? So does the evil killing the missing kids, what better way to sustain life than by sacrificing youth? Old magic is what Maddie and Jon have to go up against to save her nephew.

The Damask Circle series has all the basics essentials for a great book...
Evil nefarious bad guys/gals...Check
Action and unpredictable moments...Check
Hero/Heroine...Check

Absolutely love Keri Arthur's writing style and the world she so carefully thought of. Her writing is well constructed and her characters deal with the harshness real life scenarios dish out. Maddie's strength stems from some of those real life moments, but they don't define her. This is one of the reasons I love paranormal books, you can take real life situations and read about a heroine rising like a phoenix out of the ashes of her past.

Tempting His Mate (Crescent Moon, #3)Tempting His Mate by Savannah Stuart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I may have mentioned a time or two I have a weakness for steamy, seusaully charged shifter books...? Well this being the first book I have read from Savannah Stuart, I must say she can deliver a amorously charged book that has you all hot and bothered right up till the end!

The chemistry between Ella and Asher was steller right from the start. Women tend to fall for their White Knight... or in this case sexy Black Wolf. Ella intends on breaking her pattern of prim and proper with a one time/one night of uninhibited sex with Asher. Little did she know at the time you can't hide from a predator like him. Ella running from her pride and her past, runs right into a new life and soon new love. Asher a bold suitor knows exactly what Ella has to offer and will do anything to hold her close at the end of the day.

This Crescent Moon series reminds me of other favorite authors of shifter series. Shelly Laurenston, Lora Leigh only name dropping a couple, if you love their books you will adore this one too! I think the writing is smoldering and it definitely makes you want to crawl up to your lover soon after reading! I received this for an honest review. So if you're looking for a book to spark your night this will be the one, tastefully written for your entertainment.

Mistress of the WindMistress of the Wind by Michelle Diener
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can even describe how stirring this book was, amazing, wonderful , captivating~

I usually am an avid reader of romance and paranormal whatever...love it all and throw in a little time in the sheets and yowza I am a happy woman. This book was really different I was captured from the start. Intrigue, Magic and Love are you really need to get hooked on a good book!

I was given this for a free review, and I loved it!!!! I would pay for it 10x over.

I plowed through this book in 6hrs give or take, and I want to do it all over again. Michelle Diener is a master at spinning a fairy tale! I have not encountered a story to its like and that really amazes me.
The writing was profound and moving, I could clearly see it all as I was reading it. The love story between the Mistress and the Bear will go down as one of my all time favorites. With the whimsical characters and fantastic ups and downs, I think this book would be great for pretty much anyone! Want more juicy details pick it up, you won't be disappointed!
