Shattered (Extreme Risk, #2)Shattered by Tracy Wolff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this for an honest review.

Shattered Extreme Risk #2. OMG It was just as wild as the 1st book, silent prayer to the book gods that be.

Ash Lewis had a stellar view of his life and how it was all going to map out. Funny how you think you have control of your life, like you have a say in the good and bad. The truth is bad things happen, life changing events occur and all you get to do is decide how you’re going to handle it: “will this define me”,“will this destroy me”? So when Ash is picked to go to the Olympics he is so on top of the world…. which is why the fall back to reality is so much harder, after hearing his family was just in a car accident. Worst of it, his parents didn’t make it and his brother is paralyzed.

21 years old Ash Lewis is doing the best he can to make it, to make something out of the broken pieces left behind after the accident. Sure his brother and him are alive, healthy and that should be enough right? Yet it isn’t! Carrying around the guilt of your parents death and the sorrow that your little brother will never walk again is too heavy a burden to carry for Ash. So his insta-fix is plowing every “snow bunny” that crosses his path…names who need names when as soon as the deed is done his feet hit the ground running in the opposite direction, to the next quick fix/willing girl.

Tansy (love that name) is finally getting her first real assignment at the Make-A-Wish foundation. This brings her right up close and personal with the great Ash Lewis whom mistakenly thinks she just has an itch to scratch. After shooting down the quickie in the closet, Tansy tells Ash that a day snowboarding with him is the only thing Timmy Wished for! (Timmy teenage kid who is dying of cancer) Little does she know Ash gave up his dream of snowboarding, how can he rub that in his little brothers face every day? And there is the challenge he faces in the book! Don’t get me wrong I can tell you the hot sexy details and the crazy shit I never saw coming, but then again you can just read the book yourself!

I flipping adore Tracy Wolff’s writing, her quick wit and emotionally packed pages drive you to the last page. I don’t know how she does it, even when the POV changes from one character to the next you’re right there hanging on every word. From the incredible highs to the sniffling lows the book has so many emotions jammed into it…. What a ride! Did I mention the SEX?? Truly baffled at the tasteful and delicious way Tracy Wolff lays it down! I am going to read whatever this author writes! Loved it.
