Word of the day: chanticleer chan·ti·cleer noun Now Literary. a rooster: used as a proper name in medieval fables. Origin: 1250–1300; Middle English Chauntecler < Old French Chantecler noun use of verb phrase chante cler sing clear. Have you ever read Aesops Fables.. A lot to be learned from such a book. I got my copy from my great-grandmother when I was in the 5th grade. I really didn't care much about the book then. It's funny how time and life change everything! To date is still have it and enjoy sharing it with my 9yr old son.
