Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)

Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)Soulfire by Juliette Cross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Juliette Cross started a fantastic new world with Soulfire. Pretty much there is a segregated society of humans and Morgon’s. (Morgon: a race of half human and half dragon)

I feel the best part about the Morgon’s were the fact they always had their wings!! They never transformed from a human guise to a dragon or even part dragon. They were always in their true form!

The story followed a familiar one I have heard before… Romeo and Juliet.
Jessen Cade, has a rather popular name, In fact it can be seen all over the businesses her father owns. Her father happens to feel strongly against Morgon’s having businesses that cater to humans. Whether it is because of their differences or he just can’t stand completion? Who knows? But Jessen’s decision to sneak out to hit up a popular Nightwing club was one that set her on her true path in life.

Soulfire: the Dragon elixir meant for the Morgon’s one and only mate which will bind them together forever.

Lucius Nightwing the direct descendant of Prince Larkos… aka the first Morgan man who supposedly kidnapped a princess and forced her to be his with his Soulfire. Lucius’ family also happens to own the club Jessen’s brother helped trash.
Sparks fly almost as quickly as the insults during their first encounter. One kiss, just one taste and it was as if they had imprinted on each other’s very soul!

Even though the book had a familiar vibe that reminded me of the Original Star crossed lovers, I was in no way thrown off by the similarity. Instead I enjoyed the playful spin. The book was well written with Characters that were original. I can honestly say I am looking forward to all the possibilities this series can branch out into!!! It should also be said that the intimate parts of the book were tasteful and not overly descriptive.. You definitely got the point just without the play by play. (not that i don't like that...bwahahahah)

I received this for an honest review~
